Whether you can donate your time or a monetary contribution, every little bit helps those who are being heavily affected by this unfortunate pandemic. Below is a list of ways to help your community during this trying time. Let’s come together and help our neighbors!
1. Meals on Wheels
Donate money or help deliver meals to seniors, who are more at risk to get very sick. There may be a no-contact protocol in your area.
2. Donate food or help distribute meals to your local public schools
Many children rely on breakfast and lunch at school. During the mass closures, many public schools are still handing out meals but they can’t do it alone!
3. Donate food to your local food bank
Food banks are quickly running out of food around the country. You can also donate to Feeding America, which helps feed our neighbors in need during this time of uncertainty.
4. Donate to the CDC Foundation
This non-profit is associated with the US government’s CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Donate to their emergency response fund which helps them give additional support to state and local health departments, support for the global response, logistics, communications, data management, personal protective equipment, critical response supplies and more.
