“The risk of a wrong decision is preferable to the terror of indecision.”
-Maimonides
People often overestimate the risk of making the wrong decision. The fear of choosing “wrong” can be crippling. Some people even prefer to have others make decisions for them, such as, “I’ll have what you’re having.” Practice quick decision making, like ordering the first thing that interests you on the menu and not second-guessing yourself. Turn this into a habit during low-risk decisions and it will flow over into high-risk decisions. It is important to be decisive yet strategic during those higher-risk situations. Remember that being decisive is not the same as being reckless. People prefer leaders that are decisive and take the risk to act. Decisions lead to actions; take action!
