- Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1940-1945 & 1951-1955: Hours before the Battle of Britain, Churchill gave one of his many famous and inspiring speeches; it included these words: …we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.
- Statesman: He rallied the British people in the early years of the war when Great Britain stood alone against Hitler. He also warned the world about the “Iron Curtain” of the Soviet era and promoted European unity.
- Historian: Some of his most acclaimed writings were his six-volume memoir The Second World War, as well as A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, a four-volume history covering the period fromCaesar’s invasions of Britain (55 BC) to the beginning of the First World War (1914).
- Writer: Churchill wrote newspaper and magazine articles, and a novel, two biographies, three volumes of memoirs, and several books which includes at least 43 books in 72 volumes.
- Artist: He painted hundreds of paintings, he was mostly known for his impressionists landscapes.
