Two Days, Two New Year’s Eves

New Year’s Eve is a magical night filled with hope and excitement for the the New Year. So what if you could celebrate it twice? With the help of time zones and airplanes, you can be one of the few ballers who rings in the New Year two days in a row!

The beautiful country of New Zealand is one of the first to welcome in the New Year. While the Cook Islands, sitting just across the International Date Line in the South Pacific, are one of the last to celebrate. With only a four hour flight between the two places, you can turn January 1st back into December 31st with one plane ride. This whirlwind of an experience is not for the faint-hearted. But, with a joy for traveling and an adventurous spirit, you can time travel in pure Wildcatter style!

December 31st:

Stay at the Delamore Lodge on Waiheke Island. (We suggest arriving a few days early and taking a scenic helicopter ride from Auckland that lands right at the lodge.)
Start your day with a luxurious massage, with the option to enjoy in the spa or in your suite while overlooking the Owhanake Bay.
Spend your day in the heated infinity pool, in the cave-like Jacuzzi, walking Delamore’s gardens, or visiting one of the many wineries on the island.
Enjoy New Year’s Eve dinner at one these suggested vineyards: Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant, Tantalus Estate, Cable Bay Vineyard, Stonyridge Vineyard, Poderi Crisci and Casita Miro. (Delamore will arrange transportation.)
