This is a very lighthearted and playful outing in San Miguel, Mexico; great for children and the inner kid in all of us. Owner, Angélica Tijerina, spent 50 years collecting over 3,000 original Mexican rustic toys and games. They are now on display in the museum, which resides in an old house that was previously home to many generations of families. The museum’s mission is to showcase the craftsmanship executed by Mexican artisans as well as to recover and preserve the traditions the national culture. There are five rooms which feature toys from different regions and culture of Mexico. From miniature handmade dolls to a Lucha Libre arena, you can you won’t want to miss a single detail! The museum is a six minute walk to their store in the Central Plaza, where you can buy traditional handcrafted toys. Along the way, you will be sure to find many more places you will want to visit next. See our tips for visiting San Miguel here!
