How To Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Stick
Every year, the story is the same. On January first, you write down a few goals in a random notebook or page on phone. A few vague goals that seem like something you should be doing….and then you completely forget about it until the next year, at which point you’ve lost the last year’s goal list and start again in a new one.
The Wildcatters Network has come up with the perfect solution – our own formula for making the absolute most out of this unique cultural tradition. This formula includes making an event of goal night, some guiding categories, and a simple grading system. Top that off with some good old fashioned competition by sharing this tradition with the right group of friends or family, and you’ve got a recipe for success. Bragging rights are a powerful motivator, so choose the right group to share this fun activity with!
The New Year is a time reflect upon the passing year while preparing for the next. Wildcatters are constantly learning and working towards self improvement, and New Year’s Resolutions are the perfect way to keep yourself on track.
Although the competitive aspect is certainly appealing to our Wildcatter nature, the ultimate goal of the tradition is to motivate the participants to seek out new adventures while maintaining manageable tabs on health and wellness. The yearly lists and grades aren’t really there to be compared to anyone else’s goals or scores, but should be used as a tool for self reflection and a guide for personal improvement.
