Hotel Monteleone
The Wildcatters Network can only safely recommend one hotel in the Big Easy: The Monteleone is by far and away the top hotel choice in the city. It’s right in the thick of all the action and only one block away from Bourbon street, offering some relative peace and quiet. Reserve yourself a corner Vieux Carre’ Suite and be sure to stop by the Carousel Bar for Bloody Mary’s and Rum Punch!
Windsor Court
For those wanting a more quiet hotel experience, consider staying Windsor Court. Located just on the other side of the Canal, the hotel is still within easy walking distance to the action in the Quarter. Their tea service is phenomenal year round, but especially amazing around Christmas!
The Ritz-Carlton
For an even more intimate stay, the Ritz Carlton never fails to amaze! They are located close enough to the action, but even better – they provide a quintessential New Orleans experience right in their own courtyard with their Crawfish Concierge, Snowball Sommelier and Oyster Butler. The Ritz-Carlton Spa is hands down the best spa in the city.
The Roosevelt Hotel
The Roosevelt is the epitome of luxury and elegance. This hotel is within easy walking distance of the Quarter and other essential destinations. Complete with a rooftop pool and uncrowded bars, this is a solid option.

This local icon is brimming with that French Quarter charm, serving up all your favorite Creole dishes. Their signature dish, The Muffuletta, is a New Orleans staple and goes great with a tall Pimm’s Cup…one of the best in town!

Royal Oyster House
Great location and relaxed atmosphere, it’s clear that the servers at the Royal Oyster House are knowledgeable about their craft and love their job. The Fried Oyster Pasta is a must! It goes great with their Cajun Bloody Mary…
LUNCH
Kingfish
Alligator Spaghetti, Molasses-cured Duck Breast, and Marinated Blue Crab Claws…could it get any better? Their lunch menu is fantastic, but their brunch is even better!
DINNER
Galatoire’s
Get a table downstairs and order without a menu, just ask your server what’s fresh that day! One of our favorite dishes is the Fried Eggplant and Potato Soufflé…don’t forget the powdered sugar and Tabasco!
DINNER
G.W. Finn’s
This locally owned restaurant serves up only the highest quality of seafood from all over the world. Their nature inspired menu is seasonal and changes almost daily, which means you’ll never have the same thing twice! Their lively atmosphere and world-class wine selection is enough to keep any seafood lover coming back.

Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse
Serving up a diverse menu, this is a place that anyone can enjoy. There’s no wrong way to order at Dickie’s! Try to arrive early to make a stop at their swanky bar for pre-dinner cocktails!
PLAY
Beignets at Cafe Du Monde
A New Orleans institution! If the weather is nice, try to get a spot outside to enjoy the nearby street performers.
Street Artists at Jackson Square
The city is known for its unique and thriving art scene. Check out some of the city’s up and coming local artists and admire the eclectic styles across various mediums. The square has a casual and relaxed atmosphere and the artists are more than happy to talk to you about their work.
Shopping On Royal Street
Antiques, fashion, art, jewelry, home decor, hats, you name it and Royal Street has it! Earth Odyssey is a Wildcatter favorite with unique jewelry, crystals, and minerals, not to mention their tarot and psychic readings!
Harrah’s Casino
Not too far from the action on Bourbon Street, the casino is nice place to escape the humidity for a bit while you try your luck on the tables and sip on the free drinks.
Spa at the Ritz Carlton
Hands down the best spa experience in the Big Easy. This classy and refined locale is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and recharge (or recover!).
Louisiana State Museum
Jazz fans and history buffs will love a visit to the The New Orleans Jazz Museum, located at the Old U.S. Mint. Their interactive exhibits and musical performances are fun at any age.
National WWII Museum
If you can only do one thing in New Orleans, make it a visit to this fantastic museum! Engaging exhibits, a 4-D show, and veteran volunteers make this a must see…this special museum was even awarded the Wildcatter Seal of Approval!
