So next time you are in the Crescent City and find yourself wandering around the historical French Quarter, explore some of the city’s quaint, historical, and delightful parfumeries.

Hové Parfumeur

A wonderful quaint shop, this parfumery is a pure joy to explore. Try one of their custom perfumes, but they also carry oils, salts, and much more. The store has been around since 1931 and was opened by Lilian Hovey-King with the talents she learned from her Creole French mother. * Wildcatter hint-grab a homemade bath fizz bomb & matching scented soap-Gardenia is a fav.

She also coined the term “The Paris of America” for the corner of the French Quarter in which she had her parfumery. *Wildcatter hint-Buy one of their “indie” or niche fragrances that are exclusively theirs.
