Not a whiskey drinker? No problem! These herbal juleps are perfect for summer cocktail hour.

While we find this hard to believe – not everyone loves whiskey as much as we do. For those who prefer other spirits, we’ve come up with 5 herbal julep recipes using summer harvest ingredients. This list has something for everyone! These recipes work best with homemade simple syrup.

Sparkling Rhubarb Mint Vodka Julep

Rhubarb infused simple syrup, muddled mint leaves, vodka (bourbon works too though!), a splash of sparkling water.

Spicy Tequila Julep

Pepper and lemon infused simple syrup (use the rind or zest of the lemon) and tequila over ice. For an extra spicy kick, finish with a dash of tabasco!

 

 

 

 

 

Cucumber Basil Vodka Julep

Infuse your syrup with cucumber slices and basil leaves, mix with vodka, pour over ice, and garnish with cucumber spears and basil leaves.

Sparkling Rosemary Lemon Julep

Mix rosemary-infused syrup, gin, and lemon juice; top with sparkling water and garnish with a leftover rosemary sprig.

Watermelon-mint infused simple syrup, white rum, and a splash of lime juice. Use sparkling lime if you’re feeling bubbly!
