It is not everyday that you get to see hundreds of different animal species from all over the world, that is, unless you go to the Denver Zoo everyday. Boasting over 4000 animals in an eighty-acre facility in the heart of Denver, this zoo is definitely a sight to see.
The Denver Zoo is open every day of the year, but the warmer months are the best time to see most of the animals out and about. Keep in mind that with warmer weather comes larger crowds. The zoo is great for families with kids as well as the average animal enthusiast.
With many different mammals, reptiles/amphibians, fish, birds, invertebrates and plants, there is something for everyone. For birders, there is an awesome walk-in aviary bird exhibit where you can walk around inside with different varieties of birds.
For those who are in need of a cute baby animal fix, Dobby the newborn giraffe just made his debut at the zoo on March 5th, 2017. Along with the endangered Western Lowland baby gorilla that was born at the zoo last year, there is no shortness of cute baby animals.
The Denver Zoo is a great place to spend a couple of hours seeing and learning about the many different amazing animals there are on planet Earth.
