Seeing Red in Seaside

This annual festival in Florida is worth a special trip for all the wine lovers out there.

For the past 26 years, wine lovers from all over make their way to the beautiful town of Seaside, Florida every November. The 80-acre community located along the famed Highway 30A is known for its pastel houses, picket fences, and picturesque beaches. Guests are transported back to their own Mayberry with families riding to the ice cream shop, bike following bike following bike. During four days each year, the Seeing Red Wine Festival brings wine enthusiasts from all over to the Florida coastline. The unique aspect of this particular festival is that it is also a philanthropic event. The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), which holds the event every year, is an organization that benefits children in need by contributing to numerous children’s charities.

The festivities include reserve wine tastings, dinners, a brunch with featured guest winemakers, and a silent auction where guests can bid on wine packages, vineyard and winery tours, art, vacations, and more. Several of Seaside’s well-known restaurants showcase how their farm-to-fork and gulf-to-table offerings pair beautifully with the featured wines. The Seeing Red Wine Festival has been wildly popular and is recognized as one of the “Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals,” by Fodor’s Travel. For this reason, attendees are encouraged to reserve their tickets well in advance.
