ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE THE RISK?

“Life is not tried, it is merely survived If you're standing outside the fire.”

What is your “riskology”? Do you play it safe…or do you take the calculated risk? We are not talking about reckless business or life decisions. We are talking about following your passions, even at the risk of failure.

Regardless of the competition, everyone wants to win. Conversely, nobody likes to lose. Some people dislike losing so much that they avoid competition all together. All major life decisions are driven by this internal struggle. Is the pain of losing so intense that you will forego THE JOY OF WINNING???

The classic Garth Brooks song, Standing Outside the Fire, addresses this question. The FIRE, of course, represents the potential pain of losing. Although the song is focused on love, it translates nicely to all aspects of life.

For the record, Wildcatters NEVER let the flames keep them from pursuing the PRIZE!! As Garth says:

“Life is not tried, it is merely survived If you’re standing outside the fire.”
