Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta has been planning and building this state-of-the-art luxury hotel for years, and after much anticipation, it is open. This is the first vertical mixed-use, master-planned project in Houston combining, hotel, office, residential, retail and restaurant offerings all in one tower. The first through 36th floors are made from concrete, while the top two levels are constructed from steel. This was done to allow a helicopter to land with minimal noise and vibration for guests who choose to arrive in Uptown style. Upon entering the 3-story glass lobby, you will immediately know you are surrounded by luxury at its finest. The Czechoslovakian made chandelier contains over 15,000 crystals and was inspired by the Dubai Opera House. The 5-star property boasts 250 guest rooms along with a 5,000 square foot presidential suite fit for a wildcatter. Other amenities include a custom pool with Jacuzzi and cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center, 4 restaurants, multiple bars, spa services, a library, top of the line concierge service, and more. The Post Oak is aiming to be Texas’ first Forbes Five Star-rated hotel.
