Graceland, Elvis Presley’s mansion in Memphis, Tennessee is the same as it was in the 1970’s when the King of Rock ‘n Roll lived there. Even though the mansion sits still in time, if it has been more than one year since visiting Graceland, it is time for another visit. Across the street from Graceland now sits a $45 million, state-of-the-art entertainment complex known as “Elvis Presley’s Memphis.” This 200,000 square-feet exhibit sits on 42 acres and opened on March 2, 2017.
Room after room of Elvis’s life and career is displayed through hundreds of archives and museums in the new complex. The “Ultimate VIP” tour experience will take one on an exclusive journey into Elvis Presley’s life and many accomplishments and accolades. Led by an expert tour guide, a small group will tour the Graceland Mansion and explore most of “Elvis Presley’s Memphis.” Transportation in a special vehicle, access to sit and relax in the Ultimate Lounge, photo opportunity, a meal at Vernon’s Smokehouse, are a few of the perks of the “Ultimate VIP” tour. Adjacent to the new facility are Elvis’s two custom airplanes, the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II, which one can also go into as part of the tour.
