On Monday, June 7th the long-awaited 12 Mighty Orphans movie had its world premiere in Ft. Worth, Texas. The film was celebrated with two full days of events. The kickoff event was the opening reception for the “Behind The Scenes” photo exhibit by Laura Wilson (Luke Wilson’s mother) at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Laura Wilson is a renowned photographer and was recently inducted into the museum herself. Wildcatters was a proud sponsor of this event, in which we provided Blackbird Vineyard’s Aerena wine!
The second event was a panel discussion and the proclamation of June 7th officially becoming “12 Mighty Orphans Day.” Mayor Betsy Price held the panel discussion with Ty Roberts, Luke Wilson, and Vinessa Shaw where they talked all things behind the scenes and production. In attendance was Rusty Russell’s grandson who accepted the proclamation plaque.
Last but not least, we headed to the newly renovated, historic Isis movie theater in Ft. Worth to hit the red carpet and watch the official world premiere! In attendance were stars Luke Wilson, Vinessa Shaw, Wayne Knight, Ron White, Robert Duvall, and many more. Director, Ty Roberts, introduced the film and the rest is history! The audience loved it and headed to the Hotel Drover to celebrate at the after-party.
We are proud investors of this inspiring movie and can not wait for the world to see it! The film opens in Texas on June 11th and Nationwide on June 18th. Get your tickets here.
